Use of Waller facilities for Graduation

Use of Waller facilities for Graduation
The Issue
For years Waller ISD has made use of out of district facilities in order to facilitate High School Graduations. In recent years they have made use of PVAMU's Baby Dome in Prarie View Texas, and this year's graduation was planned to take place at The Berry Center in Cypress, just 30 minutes up the road from Waller.
This Begs the question, Why not use the multimillion-dollar stadium placed literally next to Waller High School at 20735 Stokes Road? (Capable of Seating 10,000) Now, as a senior I was never planning on walking, but I despise the fact that Waller ISD refuses to listen to community outcry. Waller has one of the nicest stadiums a school district can have, and yet they refuse to use it for one of its most traditional purposes, especially so considering the fact that the Waller ISD Stadium is much bigger than a stadium used for the same purpose by any other district from a "Country" town. The Area of the Stadium's field ALONE is more than 80,000 Square feet!
The Uprise of COVID-19 across the planet has meant we have had to see many changes to daily life in the past three months, most notably the cancellation of what remained of Waller's school year. This has led to somebody in the Waller ISD administration to come to the conclusion that using the Showboat Drive-In Theater at 22422 Farm to Market 2920 for graduation is a good idea. I can guarantee you that Waller ISD is paying for this event to take place there, and it's a waste of money, especially so considering the fact that the money paying for it comes out of the Tax Payer's pocket, and just the same can be said for the MULTI-MILLION dollar stadium walking distance from the High School.
COVID-19 Presents a threat to the graduating student body, and a traditional High School Graduation would present more of a threat than a benefit. I present two options to Waller ISD, Stephanie Fletcher, and Kevin Moran, either have the graduation at our Multimillion-dollar Football Stadium or bring in the necessary administration, and students to the Auditorium at Waller High School and have graduation there as a webcast, but ask parents to stay home in order to mitigate the possible spread of COVID-19.
