There has been some discussion about a dog park for the Walkersville area.  We are exploring options and want to gauge support for this project.  Currently the closest place to take your dog "off leash" would be a 20 minute drive to either Thurmont or Frederick.  We are looking at Community Park as one option.  Total costs for the project are coming in under $20,000.  With enough support this can become a reality for our community.  Please share this petition and add your name to the list if you would support a dog park for Walkersville.  I am also available by e-mail with questions or if you would like to work on the committee for this endeavor.
