We, the undersigned residents of Rajyog Colony, Walhekarwadi, urgently request your immediate intervention to resolve the severe issues stemming from the current garbage collection practices in our residential area. The current situation poses significant health, safety, and environmental risks to our community.

Garbage Collection Menace in Residential Area:

Inappropriate Location: The primary garbage collection point and truck parking area are situated directly in the middle of a densely populated residential zone. We demand to know why a residential area was chosen for this purpose, especially given the availability of alternative, non-residential locations.
Unsanitary Conditions: The surrounding areas are consistently unkempt and unsanitary, leading to open dumping by citizens from other areas. This creates a breeding ground for pests and diseases, directly impacting the health and well-being of Rajyog Colony residents.
Ineffective Management Despite Third-Party Vendor: Despite the engagement of a third-party vendor for garbage management, the area remains poorly managed and unsanitary. We seek clarification on the oversight mechanisms in place and why the vendor's performance is not being adequately monitored and enforced.
Lack of Enforcement Against Illegal Dumping: There is a noticeable lack of action against individuals who illegally dump garbage across the road and footpaths, exacerbating the problem and undermining efforts to maintain cleanliness.

Traffic and Pedestrian Safety Concerns:

High Traffic Volume: This road serves as the sole connector between Gurudwara Chowk and D.Y. Patil Road, resulting in consistently high traffic volume.
Absence of Speed Bumps: The absence of speed bumps encourages high-speed vehicle movement within this residential zone, posing a serious threat to residents, especially children and the elderly.
Pedestrian Hazard: The combination of high-speed traffic and garbage strewn across roads and footpaths creates an extremely hazardous environment for pedestrians.

We urge the PCMC to take prompt and decisive action to rectify these critical issues. We request the immediate relocation of the garbage collection point and truck parking, improved sanitation, stringent enforcement against illegal dumping, and the installation of speed bumps to ensure pedestrian safety.

निवासी परिसरात कचरा संकलनाचा उपद्रव:

अयोग्य ठिकाण: प्राथमिक कचरा संकलन केंद्र आणि कचरा ट्रक पार्किंगची जागा दाट लोकवस्तीच्या निवासी क्षेत्राच्या अगदी मध्यभागी आहे. पर्यायी, बिगर-निवासी जागा उपलब्ध असतानाही, या कामासाठी निवासी क्षेत्र का निवडले गेले, हे आम्हाला जाणून घ्यायचे आहे.
अस्वच्छ परिस्थिती: आजूबाजूचा परिसर सातत्याने अस्वच्छ आणि दुर्गंधीयुक्त असतो, ज्यामुळे इतर भागांतील नागरिकही उघडपणे कचरा टाकतात. यामुळे कीटक आणि रोगांची पैदास होते, ज्याचा थेट परिणाम राजयोग कॉलनीतील रहिवाशांच्या आरोग्यावर आणि कल्याणावर होतो.
तृतीय-पक्ष विक्रेत्याद्वारेही कुव्यवस्थापन: कचरा व्यवस्थापनासाठी तृतीय-पक्ष विक्रेता नियुक्त केलेला असूनही, परिसर खराब व्यवस्थापित आणि अस्वच्छ राहतो. आम्ही यावर देखरेख ठेवणाऱ्या यंत्रणांबद्दल आणि विक्रेत्याच्या कामगिरीवर योग्य प्रकारे लक्ष का दिले जात नाही आणि अंमलबजावणी का केली जात नाही, याबद्दल स्पष्टीकरण मागतो.
बेकायदेशीर कचरा टाकणाऱ्यांवर कारवाईचा अभाव: रस्त्यावर आणि पदपथांवर बेकायदेशीरपणे कचरा टाकणाऱ्या व्यक्तींवर कारवाईचा अभाव दिसून येतो, ज्यामुळे समस्या अधिक वाढते आणि स्वच्छतेचे प्रयत्न निष्फळ ठरतात.

वाहतूक आणि पादचाऱ्यांच्या सुरक्षिततेची चिंता:

उच्च वाहतूक घनता: हा रस्ता गुरुद्वारा चौक आणि डी.वाय. पाटील रोडला जोडणारा एकमेव मार्ग असल्याने, येथे सातत्याने मोठ्या प्रमाणात वाहतूक असते.
स्पीड बंपचा अभाव: स्पीड बंप नसल्यामुळे या निवासी क्षेत्रात वाहने भरधाव वेगाने जातात, ज्यामुळे रहिवाशांना, विशेषतः लहान मुलांना आणि वृद्धांना गंभीर धोका निर्माण होतो.
पादचाऱ्यांसाठी धोका: भरधाव वेगाची वाहतूक आणि रस्त्यावर तसेच पदपथांवर पसरलेला कचरा यामुळे पादचाऱ्यांसाठी अत्यंत धोकादायक वातावरण निर्माण झाले आहे.

आम्ही पिंपरी-चिंचवड महानगरपालिकेला विनंती करतो की, या गंभीर समस्यांचे निराकरण करण्यासाठी तातडीने आणि निर्णायक कारवाई करावी. आम्ही कचरा संकलन केंद्र आणि ट्रक पार्किंगची तातडीने स्थलांतर, सुधारित स्वच्छता, बेकायदेशीर कचरा टाकण्यावर कठोर अंमलबजावणी आणि पादचाऱ्यांच्या सुरक्षिततेसाठी स्पीड बंप बसवण्याची मागणी करतो.
