The President Hotel, in London's Russell Square, has a grand past. But in the COVID-19 pandemic it was turned into a quarantine hotel for travellers arriving in the UK requiring mandatory 11 day isolation.  

Visitors are required to pay £1750 for the privilege. But instead of the comfortable stay promised on the website, the conditions for those locked up inside are squalid, dirty and unpleasant. The food offered is horrid and unhealthy, the rooms are unclean, and the exercise area is miniscule. Honestly the conditions are better in prison. 

The Imperial London Hotel Group is owned by the Walduck family, one of the richest hotelier families in Britain. The treatment of their guests in the President Hotel, on the other hand, is barbaric. Children are going hungry. Rooms have not been deep cleaned. Hotel food is disgusting. We believe the hotel should be closed immediately and taken off the government's approved quarantine list.

Please sign this petition and let's see if we can protect the human rights of other travellers. No one should be forced against their will to pay such a hefty price to live in dirty, unhealthy, inhumane conditions in a hotel owned by some of the richest folk in Britain.
