Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada is a small northern city made up of approximately 11,300 people. Up until Saturday, June 23rd, 2012, our little city's livelihood was a Algo Centre Mall - until that literally came crashing down, killing two innocent ladies. Not only did this catastrophe rob us from two wonderful people, but it also has robbed most of us from our shopping needs. There is now nowhere to buy clothes (in particular, undergarments) and we are now down to only one grocery store but with the possibility of a small temporary grocery store opening up in the near future in a temporary location within the city. For those who do not have any means of outside-city transportation, this creates a huge problem. We, the signed members and citizens of Elliot Lake, feel that having a Wal-Mart in Elliot Lake would be greatly beneficial not only for our shopping essentials, but also to create more jobs for those whom are actively seeking employment. Since Elliot Lake is such a small city, there are not many jobs to offer. We hope you will hear our small but loud voices and reach out to us. Thank you.
