Our goal is to improve knowledge and eliminate stigma about the topic of mental health on Wake Forest's campus. By dispelling many of the myths and preconceptions students have about mental health and mental illness, we hope to encourage students to have those hard conversations and stay empathetic towards one another. Even though Wake Forest University maintains the offices to help students deal with mental health during these trying times, they lack the proper funding and personnel to reach their full potential. Through this petition, we hope to convince Wake Forest to increase funding to the Counseling Center to make their services more known and accessible to students.
