Development of the entire seminary property west of Richland Creek will force the closing of Paschal Golf Course. Paschal Golf Course has been a part of the community for over one hundred years. Arnold Palmer played this course during his college days at Wake Forest College.
It is inevitable, and fortunate, that Wake Forest will continue to grow. Preservation of the amenities that made Wake Forest such an attractive location needs to be considered in order to sustain the community’s expansion. Open Spaces and recreational opportunities are important factors in attracting new residents and business investment. 
   Closing an existing golf course to accommodate a few more apartments would be detrimental to the essence of what makes Wake Forest a great community. 
The golf course is a beautiful green space for downtown Wake Forest. As development accelerates in the community these types of recreational areas become scarce. We the undersigned ask that you please consider the preservation of Paschal Golf Course in any plans to develop the seminary land.
