My daughter Gianna has a severe peanut allergy. I am starting this petition because of my daughter, younger son, and so many other kids in this world have nut allergies and it is dangerous for them to be around peanuts. I am hoping that if Wake County can be  a peanut free district, then hopefully, other states can follow and become peanut free as well. 

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't worry about her when she leaves to go to school. Her allergy is so severe that she can't even smell peanuts or she will start wheezing. She can also go into anaphlaxis shock.  If children bring in peanut butter or food that contains peanuts to school it can be dangerous to my daughter because after they eat, if they touch my daughter, or have contact with her and their hands have not been washed she can have an allergic reaction.  

This is so important for this petition to be signed because it can save my child's life and so many other children's lives. So many children are dying from this type of food allergy and it needs to be addressed so my daughter can feel comfortable in school cafeterias and eat lunch without worrying about coming in contact with kids that eat peanuts.  Even though she is separate from the students that bring food that contains nuts it is still dangerous for her. Please sign the petition!! You can save a child's life, including mine.
