Hi,this petition is to try and help the existing residents of Wadhurst close eastbourne as in the respect of EBC has decided to sell(and sold) a garage/hardstand area and for privately built flats/house to be built on.Our concern is access to Wadhurst close is very limited and congested now!! at this moment in time with no building works going on we have trouble with access for ambulances all services ie bin lorries deliveries etc and god forbid if there ever was a fire the far end of wadhurst close will be isolated completely,there has been a traffic report done but is totally inaccurate,there will be approximately 15+ car spaces taken away and we have basically been told to park in neighbouring streets(lottbridge drive/hampden avenue)the new properties will have lockable parking spaces allocated at the cost of existing residents not being able to park anywhere near there homes.there is no way 2 cars can pass in the close now unless 1 car mounts the pavement.All this is documented on lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk planning portal Ref 240035 and a web cast of the meeting held by planning dated 20/08/24.

Please we are all for housing but not at the cost of the health and safety of all the existing residents.
