Vyvanse is a leading medication approved internationally for treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Binge Eating Disorder. It is widely considered a preferred treatment option for ADHD due to its efficacy. However, current Indian regulations restrict the pharmacological treatment of ADHD to atomoxetine, clonidine, and methylphenidate, which excludes Vyvanse. Given India's position as a major global economy with a strong healthcare sector, there is a compelling case for revisiting these regulations. Updating the law to include Vyvanse would align India's treatment options with international standards and provide healthcare professionals with a broader range of tools to better serve patients with ADHD.
