It's been 30+ years since Jodeci first appeared as the "Bad Boys Of R&B" to the world.

Jodeci, an acronym for Jo for JoJo, De for Mr. Dalvin and DeVante', and Ci for K-Ci.

They were the first to combine timberland boots, tats, and the duo of two sets of brothers; Donald DeGrate Jr. (DeVante’) and Dalvin DeGrate (Mr. Dalvin); Cedric Hailey (K-Ci), Joel Hailey (JoJo), that set the world ablaze and opened the door for other boy bands. 

However, Jodeci was and always have been more than R&B/Soul. They add that gritty rock edge with live performances of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers classic song "Give It Away" as an opening to their remix of "Come and Talk To Me" live.

DeVante’, whom is titled the "brain of the group", wrote and produced songs for various artist, such as Usher, Al B. Sure, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Chris Brown, to name a few.

Jodeci went even further with their debut video "Feenin" off of the "Diary of A Mad Band" album, in which DeVante and Dalvin created a rock instrumental as an intro to the music video, right after the intro of them sitting with Snoop Dog and other hip hop artist, that have as well, made an impact on popular music.

There would be no Missy Elliott, Timbaland, had it not been for DeVante and his fellow BAND members, JoJo, Mr. Dalvin and K-Ci.

They’ve overcome many obstacles and are still standing as a unified BAND and part of the P Music Group, owned by Charlie "Uncle Charlie" Wilson, of the funk/soul group The Gap Band.

Bottom line, they deserve to be on the upcoming voting ballot for 2024. So let's make that happen, shall we?
