The House of Representatives may vote as early as this Wednesday on a monumental piece of legislation that would do wonders for wilderness protection. If passed, it will preserve 2 million acres of special lands throughout the nation.

We expect the vote will be extremely close. It could all come down to your representative.

When the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 comes up for a vote, please vote YES.  

This legislation would benefit all Americans, by ensuring that some of America's most wonderful places are preserved for future generations.  

The Omnibus Public Land Management Act would create new wilderness areas, protect key rivers, and establish the National Landscape Conservation System. The vast majority of measures contained in this compilation of bills have little to no opposition, strong local support, and broad, bi-partisan support in Congress.  

Please do all you can to ensure this important package of bills is passed.

We just learned that the House of Representatives may vote on some long-awaited wilderness legislation tomorrow.   You have been instrumental in moving this historic piece of wilderness legislation to the edge of victory. The vote in the House is expected to be extremely close.  
Simply put, it could all come down to your Representative.   This piece of wilderness legislation is monumental. It would
protect more wild lands than any other bill in recent history.
