The proposed 200 acre plot between the Sands and Green Valley communities is known to locals and visitors alike as a peaceful haven connecting sprawling Boone with our heritage culture. The proposed development would be not only an eyesore, out of place with the landscape of the area, but disrupt natural habitats of endangered species, disrespect the historical and archaeological value of the land, and threaten the tourism industry that takes thousands of vacationers down this country road as they seek uncluttered and pristine earth from which they are traveling.
