Shut down concentration camps in Chechnya

This petition had 365 supporters

Concentration camps are opening up again. Concentration camps for homosexuals. 100 gay men have already been taken to a camp in Chechnya, Russia, 3 of whom have already been murdered. Human rights campaigners are working on evacuating the prisoners; around 30 to 40 have managed to escape. The escaped prisoners said they were electrocuted, forced to sit on bottles and brutally beaten. Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, denied the claims by saying 'you cannot arrest or repress people who just don't exist in the republic.' He has denied the existence of the entire LGBT+ community. He said 'if such people existed in Chechnya, law enforcement would not have to worry about them since their own relatives would have sent them to where they could never return.' Mike Pence, the Vice President of the most influential country on this planet, is all for it; he's happy that people are being beaten to death. As a member of the LGBT+ community, I'm terrified. My LGBT+ friends are terrified. This is the start of World War Three and innocent people are going to be killed once again; the leaders of the modern world will be frowned upon by future generations once again. We need to learn from history. We need to stop others from making the same mistakes as those in the past. We need to stop thousands of innocent lives from dying once again.
