This petition is to encourage Vispero to get the Window-Eyes screen reader back onto the market.

Window-Eyes was originally developed by GW Micro in 1995. and was in development for 22 years. Unfortunately, Window-Eyes had a smaller market share than its primary competitor, JAWS.

In 2016, GW Micro, who was apart of the AI Squared family was acquired by VFO/Freedom Scientific, the makers of JAWS screen reader.

In 2017, VFO/Freedom Scientific killed Window-Eyes for the soul purpose to take away any serious competition to JAWS.

Window-Eyes had many users, but their are lots of users who hadn't had the opertunity to give Window-Eyes a try. I am wanting to get Window-Eyes onto the market with the soul purpose of doing the following:

1. Bringing Window-Eyes to more and more potential future generations of blind folks. Their was a lady who got Window-Eyes in school but she never learnt it and I am wanting to bring Window-Eyes to this person. She could really benefit from Window-Eyes

2. Bring Window-Eyes to training centers with the goal of having Window-Eyes be treated like a first-rate screen reader.

3. Getting Window-Eyes widely known in education and employment.

If Window-Eyes can come back onto the market, it will make me happy and it will make the Di-Hard Window-Eyes users who are going back to Window-Eyes happy.

4. Another reason for bringing Window-Eyes back is to onner a guy named Robert Donald.

Robert Donald was a guy from Scotland who was a strong advocate of Window-Eyes, and he taught at Motherwell College the screen reader called Window-Eyes. He never would sell Window-Eyes down the river. He treated it like a first rate screen reader and if he was still alive he wouldn't go to JAWS, he would stick to Window-Eyes and ensured that it continued long into the future.

Window-Eyes is as important as it ever has been and it cannot be forgotten nor will it be forgotten and we in the blindness community can't let Window-Eyes go.

Yes, we have NVDA but, when your in the workplace, NVDA won't cut it, and there is a need for another professional solution, and Window-Eyes is going to be that other solution. We can't put up with Vispero's monopolizing of the market anymore! So, Vispero, end this choke hold over the blind, and bring Window-Eyes back as quick as possible please. I for one ain't gonna sit here and let you continue to monopolise the market. We need competition in the workplace and we need competition for screen readers in the workplace right now.
