Your help is needed now to let the Virginia Crime Commission know that it’s time to change Virginia’s system of trying and incarcerating youth as adults in Virginia!

Youth tried as adults in Virginia:

--Can be placed in adult jails and prisons;

--Face barriers to employment and education;

--Receive an adult criminal record;

--May never have access to student financial aid.

On December 15th, Virginia residents will have a key opportunity to influence the Virginia Crime Commission.  At this meeting, the Crime Commission may recommend changes to Virginia’s system of trying youth in adult court.
