Happy Friday, everyone! This is a little different then what we usually experience. You see, someone from the Governor's office sent your requests over to the Department of Corrections and they contacted one of our members about Kelly's parole. In short, that means that you guys made one heck of a dent and it was noticed. So now we are going to do round two. I am going to ask you for a couple of favors. The first is to keep praying for Kelly and everyone that serves her sentence. Prayer is a powerful thing and it is never wasted. If you don't believe, that's alright. I ask you to keep a positive thought for Kelly in your heart instead. I also ask that you ask your pastors to pray for Kelly and for their support in helping her to reach redemption and forgiveness. I would also appreciate it if you would write the Governor's office again and do so every couple of days until the end of next week. If you could follow that up with a paper letter as well, that would really strike home. Kelly's heart has changed, she has matured, she has graduated from PVCC with honors, and she works in a position of trust at Fluvanna. When Senator Marsden created his bill, she is the prisoner that he was talking about in a figurative sense. Ask Governor McAuliffe to do the right thing and to grant her clemency. All that Kelly asks for is the right to apply for parole so that she can one day be reunited with her mom and dad, work a job, and pay her taxes. She has grown so much since she was seventeen and today, she is a good woman. It is only right that the Commonwealth allow her to prove that after serving more than two decades in prison. You can contact the Governor by email here: https://goo.gl/ByjRKI or you can write him here: Governor Terry McAuliffe Common Ground for Virginia P.O. Box 1475 Richmond, VA 23218 You have already proven that you can make a difference in another's life. Please do so again. God bless, Bill
