Virginia General Assembly: Legalize medical cannabis
Cannabis has been used as medicine for at least 5000 years. It is effective for cancer, glaucoma, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, migraines, PTSD, seizures, wasting syndrome, chronic pain, and numerous other conditions. In some cases, it has saved lives. In addition, it is nontoxic and has almost no side effects.
Doctors, nurses, patients, and 72% of Virginians agree that we should have access to cannabis for medical purposes, under the supervision of a doctor.
