Roanoke County, Virginia allows for pets to be tethered outside regardless of temperatures hot or cold.   Our fur family deserves to enjoy not just the beauty our Roanoke County offers but also the warmth of our homes.  All I ask of the Supervisors of this great county is to follow suit with Roanoke city and pass a tethering law.  No leaving tethered overnight.  No leaving tethered in extreme weather conditions. No leaving dogs tethered for long periods of time.

Every pet deserves a safe warm and comfortable environment.

 to ask them to strengthen animals protection laws and enforcement.  Specifically, hot and cold weather laws, anti penning/containment laws, insulated dog houses for when dogs are left outside for more than three hours.
