PAHS ranks IB and non IB students together which is unfair to students zoned for PA. IB classes are weighted, so if you are zoned for PA you are going to have a low class rank. A student that took the same classes and got the same grades at Cox or Kellam would have a better class rank than a student at Princess Anne. This is just wrong! Students should not be penalized for where they live. In the last 13 years (or more, that's just as long as my guidance counselor has worked at PA) there has never been a valedictorian that wasn't in IB. This is an unfair system that hurts kids trying to get into college.
