Victoria Park Road in Hackney is a 20mph road but the constant deluge of construction vehicles, demolition trucks, cement lorries, coaches and endless other vehicles are NOT obeying the speed limit and are using OUR residential road and neighbourhood village as a race track and a short cut.

This is causing high levels of noise, building vibrations and pollution but most worryingly its endangering our lives, the lives of our children, pets, and anyone attempting to cross VPR to enter the park.

Victoria Park Road wasn't constructed for this volume of traffic!

To add to this, there is NO main cycle path forcing cyclist to often travel the wrong way up VPR or use the pavement instead of the road.

Please help us join together and sign this petition which will be seen by Hackney council and those responsible for traffic management.

We look to our council to make a change.  Re-routing, using speed cameras, traffic calming schemes - there are many possibilities, they just need to be actioned!
