Victims Right to Review
The Issue
Community Clubs play an important part in the social, fundraising and wellbeing of their locality
When a club is the subject of theft/fraud by a person in a position of trust it can and does have serious consequences for the club
We the undersigned believe that the reported and alleged theft/fraud from the Knowl Club (Mirfield) by a person in a position of trust needs to be tested in court
The prosecutors have cited “public interest” as one reason for not pursuing this, we believe it IS in the public interest and for the public confidence in the police and justice system for this person to be tried for this offence
This is not a victimless crime as the 400 members of the Knowl Club are suffering from the loss of much-needed funds
