*VicRoads needs to allow International Students or temporary residents  to continue driving using international driving license*

Vicroads has announced that in order to continue driving in Victoria, full Victorian license is a mandatory requirement from 30th of October 2021.

We believe that this is unfair given the circumstances! This pandemic is an extraordinary and rare event and Victorians have suffered the most amidst this disaster in terms of extended periods of lockdowns resulting in adverse impacts on the businesses, not to mention the increased mental pressures which have pushed many towards mental health issues. It has been a really tough time for most people to go through as it is let alone another pressure from Vicroads which will result in many people having to struggle with financial difficulties.

Therefore, we are calling on Vicroads to not enforce full Victorian license as a requirement to continue driving in Victoria. Now that a major chunk of the population is fully vaccinated and life is going to start returning to normal, we require an extension of at least 6 months from Vicroads to allow us to continue driving using an international driving license. This will give many people a fair chance to obtain their Victorian license which was very tough to do amidst the lockdowns.
