No mergers, no staff cuts at Adelaide Uni! Don't trash our education!
The issue
Vice chancellor Peter Høj has announced plans for drastic cuts at the University of Adelaide.
He intends to merge five faculties into three (Arts merged with Professions, ECMS merged with Sciences), and to cut 130 staff positions in the process.
These cuts represent a major attack on university workers and on students' quality of education.
We, the undersigned, demand:
- No faculty mergers
- No staff cuts
- No course cuts
- Government funding for universities
