I humbly would like to bring in your kind notice that I am a person with visual impairment and have been working in Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening) since October, 16th 2007 as a permanent faculty in the department of History.

I through this petition wish to bring to the notice that on January, 4th 2022 at 8:08 P.M College Administration sent an email to all faculties and the concern staff of the College titled as: (NAAC Officer Orders dated 04.01.2022) informing all about the duties of all the members of the NAAC Committee and added and removed members of the committee. In response to this email on January, 4th 2022 at 10:53 P.M I replied and asked that I on the behalf of disabled teaching and non-teaching staff of the
College would like to know that who is representing us in the NAAC
Committee of the College? and addressing the unresolved issues of the
persons with disabilities of the College? Not only this who is the
member of this committee representing us without us?

But instead of responding principal Dr. Masroor Ahmad Beg’s Personal Assistant (PA) mr. Mohammad Faheem called me exclusively on January, 5th 2022 at 2:52 P.M and asked me to meet principal at 4:00 P.M at his office. But I asked him that it would not be possible for me to reach 4:00 P.M from Noida so schedule the same today at 4:30 P.M and I was on time to attend the meeting with principal with my escort.

The first question principal of the College Dr. Masroor Ahmad Beg asked me that what did you ask via your email yesterday and why? I responded the same what I actually asked in my email and explained him the reason for it. But the principal Dr. Masroor Ahmad Beg lost his temper and started shouting and intimidating me saying that neither PWD has represented NAAC committee of the College nor would represent it and accused me for wasting his time and humiliated me by stating that in what capacity are you questioning principal of the College on behalf of the Persons with Disabilities? And asked me to leave his office immediately and concentrate on your work. Do not question me again on the subject of Persons with Disabilities in the College because they cannot actually work and they are just here because of the reservation policy. Such attitude, perception and the prejudice of a Principal of the College of University of Delhi towards Persons with Disabilities was quite disheartening, disappointing and hurting for me and I walked out of his office. Not only this, even my escort Ms. Rekha Chaudhri who was sitting and waiting for me just beside office door was also shocked that principal Dr. Masroor Ahmad Beg was shouting at me?

Therefore, I request hon'ble Vice Chancellor of University of Delhi to take action against the principal of the College in accordance with RPWD Act 2016 and notify to all administrators of the colleges of the university to display RPWD act 2016 in their College campuses in order to aware all the staffs and students about RPWD Act 2016.
