On august 5, 2020, Viacom/Comedy Central announced a reboot of Ren & Stimpy, a cartoon created by child predator John K. For decades John K. used his cute characters to groom underaged girls. If you are not familiar with this story, read the Buzzfeed article linked below.

According to Viacom John K. will not benefit financially from this reboot, however...

John K. still has an online presence via his instagram, facebook and a webshop where he sells original Ren & Stimpy artwork. This reboot will not only drive people to buy his artwork, but new young female fans will gain an interest in Ren & Stimpy and start following his accounts. Thus it will enable him to groom fresh victims. This is highly troubling and irresponsible. Therefore we plead Viacom to show they care about the wellbeing of victims of predatory behavior by halting production on this reboot, leaving Ren & Stimpy in the past and focusing on exciting new properties.
