Re-open/ Restore Nickelodeon Studios @Universal Studios Orlando FL

The Issue

This Petition is Aimed to persuade Viacom, Nickelodeon, and NBCUniversal to restore The Nickelodeo Studios production office at Universal Studios Orlando for tours!!!!

The 90's was an era that can never be matched again! Especially the Tv shows!!!!! Being a 90's baby I was raised on Cartoon Network and of coarse who can forget Nickelodeon?!?!??? Exactly "who can forget?" that's what this petition is all about! Way way way back in the 90's, many of the shows  that you loved were probably filmed in just one place, Nickelodeon Studios in Universal Studios Florida. Nickelodeon Studios opened on June 7, 1990 playing host to many shows filmed in front of live audiences.

All That
Kenan & Kel (Kenan from Saturday Night Live, Kel is still with Nick and very famous)
Noah Knows Best
The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo
Double Dare
Family Double Dare
Super Sloppy Double Dare
Super Special Double Dare
Figure It Out
Get the Picture
Legends of the Hidden Temple (one of my personal fave shows ever)
Make the Grade
Nickelodeon Arcade
Nickelodeon Guts ,Global Guts
Think Fast
What Would You Do?
You're On!

Besides all these fantastic shows the Studio also, Offered tours, had interactive experience's  and a ride Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast (closed 2011).

Sadly on Saturday April 30, 2005 Nick Studios Orlando closed it's doors forever.

So what happened to Nickelodeon Studios?

The Structure of the production office is Still standing today at Universal Studios Orlando Florida. The Production office interior has remained virtually untouched with much of the art, murals, decorations and furniture.   It is located right in between Universal Studios main gate and Hardrock Cafe, the exterior is painted white and blue to match its attached Soundstage #18 which became the Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos theatre. The other soundstages are being used as storage and for filming other shows. Overall, areas not accessible to guests have remained the same as they were during the time of Nickelodeon, including the wall murals in the main hallway (a picture of a Nickelodeon Weinerville taping with faces blurred out), 2nd floor tube (Blue's Clues), 2nd floor hallway by the elevator (SpongeBob SquarePants) , 2nd floor hallway (original Nickelodeon Studios Mural) (ren and Stimpy), the guest escalator, which is now closed off by storage and a temporary wall that makes a rehearsal area (The Wild Thornberrys). And the exterior of the building, up the staircase, two steps up from the landing; (an orange "Push to open door" sign above the open button) along with the bathrooms underneath the staircase haven't changed (orange "Men" and "Women" signs, and a "Green slime spill" pattern floor tiles).

I am an avid Universal Studios visitor and have been for many years as an out of state visitor and now as a full time Florida resident, this would be an amazing attraction and bring Hordes of Nickelodeon and 90's super fans alike.

So come on folk's if you appreciate the 90's Nickelodeon and want to pass on this to future generations this is the perfect opportunity. Lets get Viacom, NBCUniversal, Universal Studios Florida and Nickelodeon to restore and reopen this building frozen in time!!!This building was once VITAL to Nickelodeon, lets make it Important again!

Please SIGN this petition and share it, if we get enough signatures maybe just maybe we can make it happen!
