Sanjay and Craig was not mentioned as one of the returning shows at the Nickelodeon 2016-17 upfront, which could possibly mean cancellation after Season 3. Currently, there is no word from the crew on the show's future.

The series' small, but loyal, fanbase seems to be very upset about this. The show keeps improving greatly each season, with more character development and storytelling. The show consists of clever jokes and interesting characters like Megan Sparkles, Sam Lastnamè, and Huggle Bunny. The series is in the middle of its third season, and there is so much this show hasn't gotten to yet. In particular, there are several interesting supporting and minor characters that haven't had the opportunity to shine much in the series. A fourth season of the series would allow further development of the show's setting and characters.

While skeptics might argue that any Nicktoon that isn't SpongeBob SquarePants or The Fairly OddParents won't last forever, it would be very pleasurable for the show to wrap up with a bang, filled with more character development and storytelling. 

We must convince the people at Viacom and Nickelodeon to keep the dude-snake duo alive for a while longer. We should all believe in Jay Howell, Jim Dirschberger, and the the rest of the cast and crew of SJC. May the Best Friends Hall Of Fame live on for awhile longer!
