Please sign this petition in a show of support for the VHSL. They are considering solutions to allow Virginia High School athletes the opportunity to compete in some sort of abbreviated season.

Your signing would let them know you support this even if it means waiting 3-4 more weeks before a decision is made.

Sports are about hope and community. Two things we sorely need right now.

We realize the severity of COVID 19 and do not want to risk anyone to its exposure.

But by considering an abbreviated season and postponing a final decision for several weeks you are allowing our student athletes the opportunity to hold onto hope.

For those seniors it is the only one left.

These 2020 athletes have followed their dreams this far and even as they stepped onto their respective field their seasons have been halted and now their final year of school suspended.

Allow them the opportunity to witness our collective communities’ support as they have this final chance to compete.
