VETO THE SC LIQUOR LICENSE INSURACE LAW!!!!!

The Issue

As most South Carolinians know,

These Bars are Required to have a $1 Million Insurance Policy on their liquor license to hold bars responsible for drinking and driving accidents.

We have many State Local bars closing down. From Places in the upstate such as (Powdersville Pub and The Blind Horse Saloon) down to Myrtle Beach such as (Carolina Forests and Walk On’s). Many of these places have employed 20+ people and some are even small family owned and operated restaurants and bars.

As we continue to see a decline in employment across the nation with the current president, We ask the South Carolina Law Makers to not follow down that path but instead, lift this law/ requirement and boost South Carolinas economy. South Carolina is quickly become the vast majority and the fastest growing state. To take away employment opportunities as prices continue to spike is an absolute ignorant insult from our state officials.

These Bars Save Lives:

Whether someone is feeling lonely and looking for friends or possibly using it as a date for a future marriage that will lead to a growth in MUCH NEEDED child population, these places provide that. The suicide rates amongst our young adults aged (21-28) is continuing to grow. These places provide a safe place for a lot of these younger people to mingle and feel wanted lowering suicide rates.

THE STATE CAN TAX MORE:

The state can make more income on taxable drinks that come in 1-2 shots constantly being put back by friend groups. Thus as apposed to the small amount of tax that comes from a bottle of liquor or a suitcase of beer.

In Conclusion,

We ask that the South Carolina Law makers actually consider the positive effects that our bars have on the state from bringing new people to our state to visit or even move here to lowering suicide rates while bringing up the employment rates. This will also help the state make more taxable income once again that they can use towards our state emergency services and even our really terrible roads.

So again I stress the issue that we take this Law/ Requirement out of place so our bars can open once again and give South Carolinians hope again.

P.S. Maybe try making services to get home safe from these bars more affordable and accessible as these bars do their drinks.
