I am a totally disabled veteran who is in need of a kidney transplant due to my kidneys shutting down after receiving the Covid 19 vaccines.  I had a person, former Army Vet who was going to be my donor, the VA did not contact him for over four months.  I was then going to have my Son be my donor, as he seemed like the perfect person, why not, he is my Son and the same blood type.  First the VA said that he would be perfect, how could he not be, he is my Son after all, the only problem was, it would be at least 7 more months of dialysis (I had already been on dialysis for 8 months).  The VA then said that my Son was not a match.  I decided to stop dialysis and was given 7-10 days to live, that was on June 13th, 2022.  I tried contacting the Governors office, the Congressman’s office, several news agencies to do an investigation/story about the lack of care/concern on the VA’s behalf when I was told it would take at least 7 month’s, nobody contacted me back until after I decided to stop dialysis.  Walt Buteau from News Channel 8 contacted me and came to my house to interview me and do a story.  Congressman Bilirakis’s office then got back with me and initiated a Congressional Inquiry into the VA, the VA was ordered to expedite my case. This was over a month ago.  I truly believe that the lack of care/concern on the VA’s part is the delay in my case and truly believe that they (the VA) just doesn’t care and would like people to know the way that Veterans are being treated.  I could tell so many instances of those facts, actually all’s anyone has to do is talk to any Veteran about the lack of care/concern by the VA.  I am not looking for any special treatment, even though if you knew my background, you would expect it for me, but am just trying to help out my former and present comrades get the care/concern that we all deserve.  Thanks for signing this and may our Lord Bless you.
