As supporters of Vermont Interactive Technologies (VIT), we are writing to request your support.

Your FY 2016 budget recommends $0 for Vermont Interactive Technologies.  If funding is NOT restored, VIT will cease to exist beginning July 1, 2015.

VIT is a valuable resource in Vermont. Without it, thousands of us Vermonters will be denied access to workforce training and degree programs.

The majority of programming that takes place over VIT is large group training. Web based services like Skype cannot replace VIT for these purposes.

An investment in VIT is more than an investment in a distance learning system. It is an investment in Vermonters because it gives us local access to the opportunities we need to learn, work and survive in Vermont. Please support Vermont Interactive Technologies’ budget request.
