Its the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, as well as the number for Veterans in Crisis

I would very much like to see this phone number automatically included in everyone's contacts. Every phone. Every carrier. 

I would also like to see this number be considered an emergency call, so that even if the phone doesn't have service, someone could still reach the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. (or equivalent number for the appropriate area, region, country, or hemisphere) 

It is my understanding that people who commit suicide rarely continue to pay their phone bills or buy new phones. 

There is a particularly profound and uniquely horrible feeling when someone you love and cherish takes their own life. It is a feeling I wouldn't wish upon anyone and if you've never felt it before, then I envy you.
