Myth - nicotine in Single-Use Vapes is not dangerous, or harmful, to children and young people.

Nicotine is a Stimulant drug, as is speed, cocaine, crack cocaine. All stimulants are addictive because they affect our central nervous system, increasing our heart rate and breathing and make us feel happy, confident and alert. As these effects wear off, we get dumped back down, so we then have a strong need to re-dose on  the stimulant, to satisfy our addiction. We are then trapped in the circle of high’s and low’s of addiction.

The nicotine in cigarettes has for over 400 years successfully addicted billions or people. It is true that the nicotine itself did not cause 50% of smokers to die from cancers and other problems. It has been the thousands of other chemicals and flavours, added to cigarettes to suit the tastes of  males, females, old or young, and different ethnicities, that has kept people addicted and exposed them to serious health problems.

Governments across the world are concerned about the hundreds of flavourings and chemicals being added to Single-Use Vapes,  as they are consumed by children and young people. Sadly the myths about nicotine is still believed by so many children and adults.
