Valve to install Matchmaking servers in the Caucasus region.

Valve to install Matchmaking servers in the Caucasus region.

The Issue

Valve is the largest company in the gaming industry. It has servers all around the globe. I want to focus your attention to the Caucasus Region, which currently doesn't have Valve servers.

More than 2 Million people play CS:GO, CS Source, DOTA 2 and other valve-exclusive games in the caucasus region, but the main problem is latency, or ping, so to say. The problem is that the closest Europe server gives at least 45 ms latency to the server, which gives an unfair advantage to people living near those servers, who always have 5-15 ms ping.

I propose the following: Valve should install its matchmaking servers in the Caucasus region (preferably in Georgia, which is home to 4 Million people and is in the center of caucasus). This will give the poeple living in the Caucasus region and in south Russia to play on a server which will have a comfortable 5-30 ms ping. Nice and good.

I know for a fact that those servers will not be installed in vain. Everyone wants their ping to be as low as possible. Giving the Caucasus region their own Matchmaking servers will push people to make more steam accounts to play Valve's exclusive F2P games, increasing the player base and the community market value.

Thank you!
