Tell Valve that Black lives matter
The Issue
For years Valve has allowed racist, homophobic, and discriminatory language to circulate around their game platform (Steam) and their most popular games (like Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive). With recent events in our world regarding George Floyd, it's time for Valve to step up and show that targeted racial groups lives matter and racism/racist language will not be tolerated in our community. Valve must remove and ban racial slurs from being used in chat and crack down on bots spamming racist language in chat.
It's not enough to be neutral on the issue of race. If one is against racism, they must be actively anti-racist. By doing nothing with this issue, Valve is showing that they don't mind racism, or even support it by allowing hate to exist on their platform.
When Valve takes action against racism on their platform, Valve will show that they care about black lives and other targeted groups. They haven't done anything yet; now is the time.
Potential steps to fix the issue:
1. VAC ban aimbots which are culpable of spamming racist messages in chat
2. Employ chat filters to censor racist language (added to CS:GO on 11 June 2020, chat disabling and chat restrictions to new TF2 accounts added 16 June 2020)

The TF2 community is tired of Valve's silence on the issue of racism in game. Why has Valve stayed silent on the reason behind moving the summer game festival? Why has Valve refused to acknowledge a racial revolution? Why has valve seemingly supported hate in a time where we should be banding together to abolish hate? Other companies like Microsoft, Xbox, and PlayStation have done so, so why hasn't our favorite PC platform done anything?
TL;DR Valve is allowing racist bots and inappropriate racial language on their Valve-hosted TF2 servers allowing their own game to be a breeding ground for hate.
