Team fortress 2 is currently in a state of decline due to lack of developer input. This is due to valve moving onto new projects and more importantly a new engine. Source 2 would likely fix many frame and processing issues with TF2’s spaghetti code. Along with this Source 2 is the main engine used by most developers at Valve by having TF2 accessible on source 2 it would make it easier for more Valve developers to help the current team create content for the game. This project would take time and would take the tf teams attention away from the games current version, though it’s not like we’re getting much anyway.

By signing this petition we hope to take our concerns directly to Valve who have ignored creators and players pleas for more content and communication. This petition aims to at least get a response from valve on the topic of TF2 and it’s future and whether we need to truly put all our faith in our community rather than the company.
