The location of the Station Road closure has channelled the same traffic as a busy main road onto our single lane residential road, Markhouse Avenue, by making it the only entrance and exit for anyone who owns a car or needs to access a property on: Markhouse Avenue, Hartington Road, Clacton Road, Lynmouth Road, Grange Road, Essex Road, Forster Road, Station Road and The Cresent.

The issues it has created - dangerous driving, pollution and congestion - can be resolved by moving the road closure to the Markhouse Avenue end of Station Road thereby sharing the flow of traffic rather the directing everything on to Markhouse Avenue.
