Hello.

I am a senior at uva wise. As a student, I think I can speak on behalf of the body in saying that school has been challenging during this pandemic, and we are tired, and burnt out. As students may be aware, the college has made the decision to take away spring break this coming semester. Having went through the fall semester without a break, I can attest this only makes students burnt out, and lose motivation. We need a sense of normalcy, therefore, a week long spring break needs to be instated, not just a long weekend. Students want to do well in classes, and breaks are a critical aspect of this. Spring break allows us to take a breath, relax, and prepare for the second half of the semester. Many students I have talked to have stated it feels like our voice has not been heard on the matter, and that is why I have created this petition.
