Every year, thousands of students pay thousands of dollars to live on campus at the University of Texas at Austin, with over a thousand of that money going toward their Dine-In-Dollars they can use to eat in their dorm cafeteria . However, Dine-In-Dollars are not able to be used at certain food places both on and off campus, for printing, for laundry, or other miscellaneous places where Bevo Bucks can be used. Because Dine-In-Dollars can only be used in certain places, this leaves some students with leftover money at the end of the year. If Dine-In-Dollars were combined with Bevo Bucks or able to be used for the same reasons as Bevo Bucks, less students would be left with leftover money.
