Stop Captivity of Zoo Animals

Stop Captivity of Zoo Animals
The Issue
We would like your help to address the problem of animal captivity in zoos.
Zoos serve many purposes such as research and education, connecting with nature, and the greater reason for keeping animals at Zoos is for entertainment, which we find unacceptable.
Research by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Captive Animals' Protection Society (CAPS) and Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) have shown that animals are unable to thrive in small enclosures. Captive animals are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them. They become stressed, bored and lonely and some even suffer from psychological illness called “Zoochosis.”
Some are so unhappy that they risk their lives in attempts to free themselves. Every year thousands of zoo animals are either killed or they have pre-mature death.
Do you really think captive animals are really happy and safe?
How would you feel if you have to live your whole life in a small enclosure?
Our idea is Augmented Reality Zoos (ARZOO), which will have virtual animals, along with supporting endangered species, and safeguarding already domesticated animals. We have created a prototype of our concept, which we are demonstrating at FIRST LEGO League competition (patent pending).
These augmented reality zoos will have the features found in an animal’s natural habitat, along with animatronics and holograms of life size, real looking animals. We also provide the ability to touch and feel using solid hologram technology.
Keeping an animal in a cage for show and tell is not education or recreation. What it is, is cruel.
It is our desire to help animals out of confinement and display, and back into their natural habitats.
We request USDA Animal Care to please develop the Augmented Reality Zoo technology, educate and fund zoos to have AR displays and free wild animals.
