As shepherds of your flock, you have accepted the grave responsibility to stand up for the faith, the gospel, the very basic moral teachings of the Catholic Church and Christianity itself.  It is a dark day in America when you, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), offer congratulations to the most pro-abortion presidential candidate in U.S. history.

We, the faithful, pray earnestly for you, the souls appointed to lead us: May your eyes be opened to the error of your ways, may you repent from your misguided actions, may the Holy Spirit strengthen you with the graces necessary to lead our church and our nation to the victory of salvation! 

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.
