Insurance companies only pay for a portion if you're lucky for IVF treatments and they do not cover a gestational carrier. I do know however that when I was pregnant with my son who passed at five days old, the insurance paid over a million dollars for his 5 day stay in the NICU! Rounds of IVF and Gestational carriers cost a lot less than that. I myself think I should try to have just one more even if it would take my life because the insurance would cover all of it.
