The Issue

We call on the international community, human rights organizations, and world leaders to take immediate action to prevent the execution of Mohammad Hossein Taghizadeh, a 30-year-old engineer from Kerman Province, Iran, who is currently imprisoned and at risk of execution following the recent protests in Iran.

Mohammad Hossein Taghizadeh was detained during the nationwide protests that have taken place across Iran. Reports indicate that many individuals arrested in connection with these protests have faced severe charges, limited access to legal representation, and proceedings that have not met international standards for due process and fair trial protections.

His life is now in imminent danger.

The use of the death penalty in cases connected to political protest has drawn widespread concern from global human rights organizations. Executions carried out after rushed or opaque judicial proceedings violate fundamental human rights, including the right to life, the right to a fair trial, and freedom of expression and assembly.

We urge:

The Government of Iran to immediately halt any plans to execute Mohammad Hossein Taghizadeh
International human rights organizations to investigate his case and advocate for his protection
World leaders and the United Nations to apply diplomatic pressure to prevent this execution
Media outlets to raise awareness of his situation
Global citizens to speak out and demand justice
No one should face execution for participating in protests or for exercising fundamental human rights.

We ask the international community to act now. Silence puts lives at risk.

Sign this petition to call for an immediate halt to the execution of Mohammad Hossein Taghizadeh and to demand transparency, due process, and the protection of his life.

Time is critical. International attention can save lives.
