URGENT: Save BRM Law College! Demand Action & Principal's Resignation!
The Issue
Assam Govt: BRM Law College needs urgent attention! Fix water, electricity, and infrastructure now! Principal's resignation demanded due to negligence.
We, concerned citizens, urgently call upon the Government of Assam to address the alarming state of affairs at BRM Government Law College. The college, with a rich history spanning 116 years and notable alumni like our Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is currently facing a multitude of pressing issues that threaten its very foundation.
Basic necessities such as drinking water and functioning toilets are lacking, creating an environment that is unsanitary and unconducive to learning. The recent burst of a transformer has left the academic block without electricity for over 20 days, further exacerbating the situation. Despite repeated pleas for intervention, the principal has failed to take adequate measures to resolve these critical issues.
Furthermore, essential registrations with the Bar Council of India and Gauhati University have not been completed, hindering the college's ability to operate effectively.
The institution's legacy and students' welfare are at risk. Biggest issue is Bar Council of India REGISTRATION failed in 2018-19 so students who passed out in 2023 are not able to apply for BAR registration so they are suffering a big loss.
The absence of union body elections and the non-issuance of identity cards to students only compound the administrative chaos.
In light of these failures, we demand the immediate resignation of the principal due to gross negligence and incompetence. It is imperative that the government takes swift action to rectify these issues and restore BRM Government Law College to its former glory. Failure to do so not only jeopardizes the quality of education but also undermines the trust and faith of the students and the community in the government's commitment to their welfare.
Assam Govt: Address BRM Law College issues urgently. Demand principal's resignation due to neglect. Restore basic amenities for conducive learning.
Sincerely,
Shahnawaz Hussain
