To the Leadership of Brookfield Properties:

We, the residents and supporters of Third at Bankside, respectfully but urgently ask Brookfield Properties to retain Nigel Slaughter as the property manager of our community.

Nigel is more than a property manager. He is a trusted advocate, a responsive leader, and, in the words of a resident, “the glue that holds this place together.”

Through his professionalism, dedication, and unmatched follow-through, Nigel has earned the trust of residents. He listens carefully, explains complicated policies, works with the appropriate teams to resolve concerns, and remains accessible when residents need guidance. Whether helping someone understand a confusing lease or insurance requirement, discussing available housing options, coordinating with leasing staff, or accommodating an early meeting, Nigel consistently demonstrates that residents matter.

Even when he has been away from the property, Nigel has remained attentive to the building and has followed up promptly upon his return. That level of commitment cannot be measured by a job description alone.

Why This Matters
A property manager shapes how residents experience their homes. Strong property management creates trust, stability, accountability, and a sense of community. Nigel has provided those qualities through his actions and leadership.

Removing or reassigning him would not simply represent a staffing change. It could disrupt the continuity, communication, and confidence that residents have come to depend upon. At a time when many residents are already navigating rising housing costs and other concerns, losing a trusted advocate would be deeply unsettling.

Third at Bankside is not only a property. It is our home. Nigel understands that distinction, and his treatment of residents reflects it.

Our Request to Brookfield Properties
We respectfully ask Brookfield Properties to:

1. Retain Nigel Slaughter as property manager at Third at Bankside.
2. Pause any decision to remove or reassign him until residents have been heard.
3. Meet with residents or provide a formal opportunity for community feedback before making a final decision.
4. Recognize Nigel’s service, leadership, responsiveness, and positive impact on the resident experience.
