We, the undersigned citizens of our beloved nation, are writing to express our grave concerns regarding the inadequate fire safety systems in various public places such as hotels, hospitals, game zones, malls, resorts, factories, corporate offices, universities, and other public spaces. Our fundamental right to safety is at risk due to the current insufficient fire safety measures.

 On May 25th, a devastating fire broke out at a game zone in Rajkot, tragically claiming the lives of approximately 30 people and leaving many others injured. The pain and suffering experienced by the victims and their families is unimaginable. The horror of being trapped and burned alive is a fate that should not befall anyone, especially in places meant for leisure, work, or healing.

 This tragic incident is not isolated. It is a stark reminder of the pressing need for comprehensive fire safety protocols and measures to be implemented and strictly enforced across all public spaces. It is imperative that we prevent such heartbreaking incidents from occurring in the future.

We earnestly urge the government to take immediate and decisive action to ensure our safety by:

1. Conducting Comprehensive Fire Safety Audits: Mandate regular and thorough fire safety inspections of all public spaces to identify and rectify potential hazards.
2. Upgrading Fire Safety Equipment: Ensure that all public places are equipped with modern fire detection and suppression systems, including smoke detectors, fire alarms, sprinklers, and accessible fire extinguishers.
3. Training and Drills: Require regular fire safety training and emergency drills for staff and occupants of public buildings to ensure preparedness and swift action in case of a fire.
4. Strict Compliance and Penalties: Enforce strict compliance with fire safety regulations and impose heavy penalties on establishments that fail to meet safety standards.
5. Public Awareness Campaigns: Launch nationwide campaigns to raise awareness about fire safety practices and the importance of adhering to safety regulations.

 Our right to safety is non-negotiable. The recent tragedy in Rajkot serves as a painful wake-up call, emphasizing the urgent need for stringent fire safety measures. We cannot afford to wait for another disaster to take action.

 We, therefore, appeal to the government to prioritize this issue and implement the necessary measures to protect the lives of all citizens. Your prompt attention and action on this matter will save countless lives and prevent future tragedies.
