We, the undersigned, call on the Department for Infrastructure to urgently prioritise safety improvements at:
 • Old Ballynahinch Road / Saintfield Road junction
 • Crossan junction
 • Ballymacbrennan junction on Saintfield Road
These junctions are used daily by local residents, families, school traffic, farmers and commuters. There have been repeated and longstanding concerns about road safety at these locations, alongside a history of collisions in the area. We can no longer wait for a serious incident to force action.
We call on the Department for Infrastructure to:
 • Bring forward junction improvement proposals without delay
 • Introduce interim safety measures where appropriate
 • Set out a clear timetable for action
