Petition Update It’s truly inspiring to see the Owings Mills/New Town community come together in support of an initiative that can bring lasting, positive change to our neighborhoods. In a time when progress can often feel out of reach, the power of community collaboration continues to shine as a beacon of hope and transformation. Baltimore County stands as a testament to this spirit—where local leaders, residents, and organizations unite to address pressing issues and build a brighter future for all. With that said, I’m excited to share that our Delegate, Ms. Cheryl Pasteur, and our District 11 Senator, Ms. Shelly Hettleman, will be hosting a community talk at the Owings Mills Library. At 1O3O GRAND CENTRAL AVE. OWINGS MILLS, MD 21117 Monday, November 17th, 2025 5:3OPM-7:3OPM I recently spoke with Delegate Pasteur about the ongoing lack of food resources in the Owings Mills/New Town Center area. I also shared how strongly our community feels about this issue, as shown by the growing number of signatures on our petition for a new food source at the old Giant location. Come out to the community talk session at the Owings Mills Library and show that we need their support in encouraging the right food source—one that our community can truly stand behind. P.S. This is not a confrontational meeting, but one focused on collaboration between the community and our elected officials. Our collective voices are being heard—and this is only the beginning. Thank you to everyone who continues to stand up for progress in our community. Thank you. Tyrod Haynes Baltimore County Democratic Central Committee District 11A Representative
