The donations people have made have not disappeared into an abstract campaign. They have helped this family buy food, renew tents they are displaced in, access medication and meet the basic costs of surviving through an extraordinarily difficult period. Your support has carried them through days when they had very few options left.
But this is also the point at which we need people not to look away.
Donations have slowed considerably in recent days. Maryam improving does not mean that her family's crisis is over. They still have ongoing expenses for food, medication and everyday necessities, and they still need our help.
